For what might be the first time this season, we have some major disagreements about the quality of an episode. Sebastian and Dennis argue “Chokepoint” felt contrived and partially unnecessary. Jon thinks this episode represents a turning point for the show, in a good way. Ultimately, the episode ends up relying on some of the same old tropes of season’s past to build tension, which makes it very hard to engage with. But the episode is not without its bright spots. The fight choreography is some of the best the show has ever seen, and we’re really digging the Connie/Daryl relationship. What did you think of tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead?
