Warning – this post contains some major spoilers for Episode 1 of Season 6 of The Walking Dead! You have been warned.
It’s that time of year again, when juicy details about each new episode of The Walking Dead are leaked by the lovely folks over at The Spoiling Dead Fans. For those of us, like myself, who enjoy a couple of spoilers now and again, these come as a necessity after a long and grueling season hiatus!
Here are a few things you should expect to see during Episode 1 of Season 6 of The Walking Dead entitled “First Time Again”.
TSDF OFFICIAL: ‘First Time Again’ Q&A – Prime
Q -Who dies and how?
A – Carter. Death by Walker
Q – Will we be able to tell how much time passes between the black & white flashbacks and the present. If so, how long is it?
A – It’s not explained how much time has passed but it does not seem too long as rick appears to have still a couple of healing wounds.
Q – Why is there such a large herd of walkers?
A – It’s not explained in the premiere why there are so many walkers in the quarry but it looks awesome. It appears they have simply ended up their and fallen in.
Q – Who is Rick pointing his gun at when he says the line, “Do you have any idea….”
A – Carter
Q – What is Rick’s plan at the quarry and how does it backfire?
A – The plan is to remove the herd of walkers out of the quarry before they break free and head into town. It basically backfires as the quarry barricade breaks before they are ready so they have to improvise.
Then something happens at the end of the episode that leaves us at a cliffhanger.
Q – Does Carol’s charade still go unnoticed?
A – Yes, but not by everyone.
Q – Has Tara fully recovered?
A – She is still in bed recovering but able to talk.
Q – What happens between Rick and Father Gabriel?
They only have a short scene when Gabriel is trying to help bury the bodies. Rick is very cold to Gabriel and does not want him to help with anything.
Q – Which characters are included in the flashbacks?
A – As far as I could tell all characters are seen.
Q – Is there any conflict between Morgan and Rick? How does their reunion go?
A – Not really any conflict in the premiere, just a little moment with some walkers later in the episode. They have a short chat at the start, nothing special and then have some nice little one on ones later.
Bonus Q – How did the people of Alexandria survive so long?
A – They basically survived as long as they have because the quarry gathered all the walkers.
On a fun note, Eugene has a couple of great one liners…… ‘Hello’
Most noticeable in this list of information is the fact that Ethan Embry’s character, Carter, will die so soon in the series. Seeing as he will be introduced and killed off in the same episode, it will be interesting to see how The Walking Dead plans to pull this off. Other than that, this episode seems rather straight forward.
