Warning: Possible MAJOR spoilers for Season 6 of The Walking Dead. You have been warned.
Season 6 filming of The Walking Dead is getting more and more interesting by the day. Recently, a number of casting calls and set photos revealed The Hilltop, Paul “Jesus” Monroe, and Douglas will be introduced in the latter half of Season 6. This news comes much to the excitement of comic book purists who enjoy seeing the show follow the comic as much as possible.
Another major question by fans is whether The Walking Dead television series would follow a very important storyline from the comics, specifically in regards to Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs). In the graphic novels, the Alexandria Safe Zone is attacked by a horde of walkers, which results in Carl accidentally being shot in the face. While Carl survives, he loses an eye. Many have speculated that the show wouldn’t include this scene since 1) it involves a child getting shot in the face and 2) CGI is too expensive (much for the same reason Rick didn’t lose his hand in the show).
However, based on leaked set photos from the Georgia filming location, it appears as though this story arch will, in fact, see the light of day. The Spoiling Dead Fans recently posted two photos that show Chandler Riggs sporting a white bandage on his right eye. The “blurry” nature of the photos has led many to speculate the images are Photoshopped. Also, Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple are known for trolling fans, so who is to say this wasn’t done intentionally. Either way, The Spoiling Dead Fans are known to have very accurate insider information. At this point, we don’t have any particular reason to doubt the validity of the photos. Check them out below:
