Potential Season 4 Spoilers: Read at your own risk! You have been warned.
Last week we posted a couple set photos that showed an injury Rick suffered at some point during Season 4. We inferred that this could potentially be a comic book storyline coming into fruition.
As we mentioned with the prior, we can neither confirm nor deny the validity of this latest photo (the source is unconfirmed, but found on Reddit). If we all remember correctly from the Season 3 finale of The Walking Dead, The Governor (along with Martinez and The Bowman) go gallivanting into the abyss after murdering nearly all of Woodbury’s army. This has led many to question how The Governor’s storyline will pan out during Season 4.
But in this latest photo from the set, we see a very different looking version of The Governor. Most The Walking Dead comic book fans are familiar with The Governor’s signature look; long black hair, sinister smirk and a Fu Manchu mustache. Many complaints from comic book aficionados state that the television version of The Governor is more charming than maniacal.
In this new photo, you can clearly see The Governor’s eye patch, along with long hair, and a…huge beard? Is the show trying to head into more of a comic book direction with his new look? Or has the Governor merely been living in the wilderness for far too long? Sound off in the comments section below.
