Warning: Do not continue reading if you haven’t seen the finale of Season 3 of The Walking Dead
In the season 3 finale of The Walking Dead, Andrea (Laurie Holden) met her maker at the hands of a zombified Milton. Some fans were happy to see her character go, while others (like myself) found themselves infuriated with the show for killing off a character who had so much great potential.
In a strange turn of events, Horror-Movies.ca reported that the rumors of Andrea appearing on season 4 of “The Walking Dead” could be true.
Laurie Holden told TV Line,
“It’s not up to me, you know? I’m the actor. I do what I’m told. The writers are the ones in charge of the storylines. And they write the scenes. Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Do I wish we could’ve seen and explored more of the comic-book-Robert-Kirkman Andrea. Yes. Absolutely.”
The actress also said that would have preferred to have done more scenes of her and Michonne’s early friendship, but was satisfied with how Andrea died. She explained,
“Do I wish that I had more scenes with Michonne showing that friendship? Yes. Absolutely. But at the end of the day, I don’t think I could ask for a better death. I feel like her life mattered, and she died trying, and her heart was in the right place. I feel grateful for that. You can’t have it all.”
Even though one source confirmed that Laurie Holden will appear on season 4 of “The Walking Dead,” it is just speculation at this point.
Fans are discussing possible theories if her character did come back to the show. One could be that in the form of hallucinations or flashbacks. Another could be that Andrea never pulled the trigger, but that seems unlikely since season 4 will begin at a point in time that is later than when season 3 ended. Personally I find it a little hard to believe that Laurie Holden will return, even in the form of flashbacks, because what purpose would that serve?
